About Us
The
Institute of Process Industry was established in December 2008 with
support from the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to offer nationally
recognised and comprehensive training and placement for the Process
Industry.
The IPI aims to enhance the professional and operating standards and
employability of the workforce
in the Process Industry through various skills upgrading initiatives.
Vision
Our vision is to be a premier continuing education and training centre
of the Process Industry, recognised by stakeholders for excellence in
competency-based learning.
Mission
We seek to drive productivity and competitiveness
in the Process Industry through quality, innovative and needs-driven
training and assessment. We aim to make a difference by equipping every
trainee with the skills and knowledge to be productive and responsible
at the workplace.
Our
Facilities
The
IPI have two workshops and two laboratories
for training workers
in the Process Industry. Each of the workshop has 8 fully equipped work
benches and 4 valve stations for performing fitting works and basic
maintenance of valves.
The laboratories are designed for training in
workplace safety and health, teambuilding and 5S training.
In
addition, we have 3 fully air-conditioned
training rooms. The largest training room is able to
accommodate 40
persons.
The
IPI is a division of the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI).
